The Moyen Serpent is a long oceanic passageway that connects the southern Karallean Ocean to the Arawdielli Sea. It separates the continent of Trinubes from the continent of Moyen-Sud from which the serpentine waterway gets its name. Much of its southern reaches constitute weakened portions of the Trinubiaen Ice Shelf that are passable by sea during the summer and late spring months.
Because of its geography, a strong current runs through the Serpent from the north southwards. The swift movement of these waters contributes in part to its nomenclature.
