Colonel Alberto Garza (born in Simbopolis, Tugal) is an officer in the army of the United Provinces of Elysion. Formerly, he was an officer in the army of the Federation of Tugal.
Early life[]
Garza was born to parents who were bankers in the Vandernys Company. While he lived in Simbopolis, away from conflicts in the world, he developed an interest in war and maintained it up through his adulthood. Garza studied the battles and wars in his free time in as many languages as he could learn. At times, his interest in war caused his performance in both middle and high school to lag or drop, and he ultimately passed high school with a grade that marked itself as just above failing.
Regardless, Garza traveled to Silvermoon to study military theory in Silvermoon State University at Cielos, where he remained until he earned his masters' degree. He then returned to Tugal and applied to officer candidate school. He was made lieutenant.
Later life[]
Garza's first task with the army was to retake the city of Ciudad Espera, which had been lost in a battle with the Federation of Altadenica. However, as Aguas III did not grant him a sufficient number of troops to work with, his force sustained heavy losses and was repulsed. Garza was furious at Aguas III for his half-hearted support, and Aguas III was furious at Garza for Garza's failure; as a punishment, an angry Aguas III sent Garza away from military action to defend the city of Puerto Gibralta from attack. Garza lost contact with his family, as communication over the Arawdielli Sea became difficult as more and more conflicts between Altadenica and Tugal began to spark on the high seas.
Garza supported the overthrow of governor Jonas Mykoldeä in the May 10 Tugalaise Coup, as Mykoldeä supported Aguas III, whom Garza hated. Garza left the nonviolent city of Puerto Gibralta and lead the storming of Palacio Elysiano in Puerto Alegre. Because of his role in the coup, corregidor Manuel Jíminez promoted Garza to the rank of Colonel in the Elysian army.
Garza continues to live, unmarried and without children, in Puerto Gibralta. He plays a major role in Elysian defense maneuvers.
